Ben Day
Youth Worker

I was born in Colchester and now live in Manningtree. I Eat , Sleep and Breath all things Motorbikes. I currently ride a 660 Yamaha Adventure bike and also compete in Motorcycle Trials competition. My other hobbies include Mountain Biking, Basketball and Mountaineering. I have been working with young people for over 8 years in several different areas. I have a varied working background from being a Welder/ Truck builder to being a Cover teacher at a secondary school. My passion lies in seeing people grow and develop into confident individuals. I think it is very important to have something that makes you tick and to share whatever your passion is with others. Everything in life is a lesson, you should take opportunities by the horns and run with them. My favourite quote I often annoy people with when I’m half way up a cold and wet mountain in Wales is “It doesn’t have to be fun to be fun”. Challenges often shape who we are.

Rhiannon Blackman
Youth Worker

I have recently moved to Hadleigh with my husband and two boys from South Wales. Before becoming a Youth worker at Porch Project I was a teacher of Interactive Media, Art and Textiles. I am also currently studying for my MA in Fine Art at UOS in Ipswich. I really enjoy creating art from recycled materials and upcycling clothes. I have been involved in lots of community art projects based in Wales such as creating a 6ft dragon made from astro turf. I have also been involved in projection mapping onto large scale buildings.

Photography has always been a hobby of mine. I take photos of everything. I love experimenting with angles and colour. Through photography I discovered Light Graffiti where you use a long exposure to draw with light. You can quite often find me in a field spinning around LED lights.

My goal is to inspire young people to for fill their creative potential and follow their dreams.

Zachary Corrie
Youth Worker

I was born in Ipswich and have lived in Suffolk my whole life, I'm 21 and a mad Volkswagen fan, currently trying to save the pennies for a mk1 Golf GTI but it’s not going too well when I’ve also got a huge love for trainers.

I joined the project as a youth volunteer about 5 years ago and loved it.

I then joined as the year out trainee and am now a full time youth worker for the project, I love working for the project because it helped me so much when I was younger and I want the same thing for the guys and girls who use the project now. One of my passions within the project is music as I studied media at college and fell in love with music production, so working for somewhere that has facilities such as the Development suite is awesome. If you have any questions pop me an email.
